Dentures are a partial or full replacement of teeth that are not able to be fixed. These are typically teeth that have endured years of wear, disease, and/or a life-changing accident that requires the teeth to be removed. At Mount Olympus Dental, we make both partial and complete dentures, depending on your needs. Partial dentures are made of either a flexible plastic material or a metal frame with acrylic attached to the metal. Complete dentures are mainly made of acrylic, with some complete dentures requiring a metal reinforcement.
Most dental offices in Utah charge between $1,100-$2,100+ per arch that is treated. For example, if you need a denture for the upper and lower arch, other dental offices may charge $4,200+. Call our office to set up an appointment to discuss your individualized treatment plan and associated fees.
This depends on where the break is located and how the denture was broken. Sometimes dentures can be repaired and other times we have to remake them completely.
You can eat most foods after adjusting to the new dentures. With complete dentures, a person can chew with about 10% efficiency compared to what they had prior to dentures.
